Early Childhood Piano Classes at Austin Piano School

​Starting early with Music and Piano for children is the best  thing  you can do for your child's brain development.  Austin Piano School offers a comprehensive program for every age group.  Each fun-filled and learning-packed class incorporates activities that accommodate age-specific learning styles and attention spans. In addition to a keyboard for every child, rhythm instruments and many other learning tools provide variety and depth and prepare students for any instrument. Our program meets or exceeds all of the National Standards for Music Education. We are laying the foundation for a lifetime of musical enjoyment!  Toddler Tune and Music Maker classes are held on Friday mornings.

Toddler Tunes - 18 mos to 2 years
Fridays 9:30 to 10:00 am

Eighteen Month Program (3 Semesters)
Parent and child participate together in this weekly, 30 minute class. At this perfect time in their development, toddlers develop their eager ears through singing and learning solfege (Do, Re, Mi syllables). Large motor skills are developed through movement to music and playing rhythm instruments (bells, drums, wood blocks, triangles, etc.) and small motor skills are developed using finger plays and preparatory keyboard playing. Story time reinforces lesson concepts. . 

Music Makers - ages 3 to 4
Fridays 10:15 to 11:00 am

One Year Program (2 to 3 Semesters)
Parent and child participate together in this weekly, 45 minute class. At this perfect time in their development, students develop their eager ears through singing and learning solfege (Do, Re, Mi syllables). Large motor skills are developed through movement to  music and playing rhythm instruments (bells, drums, wood blocks, triangles, etc.) and small motor skills are developed using finger plays and preparatory keyboard playing. Students learn notes and simple songs at the keyboard and on music. Class members play together in ensembles.
