Austin Piano School Policies for Toddler Tunes & Music Makers
Program
The program consists of two semesters of 20 lessons - 40 lessons per year - starting in September and continuing through July.
Attendance
Parents are expected to know what is taught in each lesson and work with their child at home between lessons to complete simple assignments and reinforce what is being taught. For Toddler Tunes and Music Maker classes, parents are required to accompany students to class. Parents do not need any prior musical training. They learn with the child. This is also a great opportunity to spend one-on-one time with your child. Please do not bring siblings to class if at all possible. If siblings must accompany the student there is a waiting area next to the classroom. During class time, cell phones should be turned off and put away. To minimize disruptions please have your child get a drink or go to the restroom prior to class.
Tuition - Toddler Tunes and Music Makers
The cost of the program is $40 per month for Toddler Tunes and $50 per month for Music Makers. Tuition is based on a 12-month period, August through July and is divided into monthly installments. The first payment, made in August, is for registration fees and music and is non-refundable. September through July tuition payments are the monthly average cost of the program and are not based on the number of lessons per month. Invoices are emailed and may be paid online by bank draft or credit card. Automatic payments can be set up by saving your payment information when you pay the first invoice.
Late Payment Penalty
Payment is due the first day of each month. Payments received after the tenth of the month incur a $10 late fee. Failure to
pay the late payment penalty and the current tuition payment before the 30th of the month will necessitate dismissal of the
student.
Make-ups, Refunds and Discontinuing Lessons
Regularly attending your own class provides your child with consistency, familiarity and adds to the synergy of the class. We do not guarantee make-ups or give refunds for missed classes. If you must miss a class, you may attend another in its place if one is available. Please contact us via email to check for available classes. Thirty days written notice (via email) is required if you decide to discontinue lessons.
